Thailand has a unique focus on transgender communities. The concentration of these communities is among the highest in the world, and they have a variety, social presence, and historical depth that differentiate them from the queer cultures in other societies (Jackson, 2011). Gender identity variance - which is an individual’s identification as belonging to a gender different from which he or she assigned at birth performs as a trans-historical aspect and cross-cultural human variety and identity of gender variant; people exist in several cultures across several historical period of time. Such people were frequently misguidedly categorized as ‘hermophrodites’, even if their physiologies were obviously male or female. For the past decades, the West has called people with gender variant transgender, transsexual and familiarly ‘transpeople’(Jackson, 2011). According to Stryker (2008), transgender defines individuals who do not follow prospects about gender by existing and living genders that were not allocated aliving genders differently in terms of more traditional notion of gender. However, the most common Thai word for English term of transpeople is ‘Kathoey’ (Jackson, 2011).
