Thammasat Human Rights Film Festival

The first Thammasat Human Rights Film Festival.
On December 2nd 12 -19 hours we will be screening documents and films from all around Southeast Asia focused on human rights.

You are invited to come to Room 103 at Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University. The two screening blocks will be followed up by discussions with various people about films and human rights issues.

DISCUSSION featuring human rights activist and author of Dreaming Vendors Ahmed Abid, a Thai transgender activist Kath Khangpiboon and Indonesian Coordinator for APN+, Frika Iskandar(to be confirmed), who works with women living with HIV.

DISCUSSION featuring a film-maker from Yangon Film School Lay Thida and Dr. Carole Faucher from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

Thammasat Human Rights Film Festival is a pilot project prepared as part of Human Rights Course at Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University.

The first ever human rights film festival of Thammasat University is organized by graduate students of Master in International Relations programme. Under supervision of Dr. James Gomez as part of Human Rights course and sponsored by Heinrich Boll Foundation, we are organizing a one day short film festival to bring more awareness about human rights to Thai society as well as the international Bangkokians.
